CTEG: Intellectual Property 101

Katherine Bonter, Director of Intellectual Property at Clementia Pharmaceuticals, presents at the IP and Entrepreneurship Workshop held in Toronto on September 14, 2018.

In this seminar, Katherine provides an overview of why patent protection is important, the elements of a patent application and best practices for pursuing a patent application in an academic setting. Katherine also gives context to many of the terms and definitions we use when talking about IP.
